Woman Forgets Everything About Car Accident, Then She Sees The Man Who Saved Her

by Kristin Avery
Kristin shares a Chicago home with a dog, a rabbit, two cats, a husband, and an 11-year-old daughter.

Mary Sabetto was in the wrong place at the wrong time. But fortunately for her, Jimmie Goodson was in the right place at the right time.

Mary was driving on I-5 in Seattle when a massive tree crashed down onto her. It smashed the roof of her small car, severely injuring her in the process.

Jimmie, who had worked as an ER nurse for 14 years, witnessed the accident and immediately came to Mary’s aid.

Her neck was distorted, and she wasn’t breathing. Jimmie knew he had to act fast or she wouldn’t make it. With the help of others, Jimmie freed Mary from the car and saved her life in the process.

The two were recently reunited at Harborview Medical Center, where Mary is still recovering from head and neck injuries. Mary doesn’t remember the accident, but she still wanted to meet and thank Jimmie for saving her life.

“A lot of people, they see an accident and they’re like, ‘Ah somebody else will deal with it. I have to go. I’m in a hurry. I don’t know what to do,'” Mary said during their tear-filled reunion. “You did something — you saved my life.”

Jimmie explained that his instincts kicked in, and that he would not hesitate to do it again!

Mary may never remember the accident — the first time she met Jimmie — but she will never forget what he did to save her life.
