500-Pound Woman Breaks Chair At Beauty Salon So She Decides To Create Her Own

Jamie Lopez believes all women deserve to feel pampered and beautiful. After suffering a humiliating experience while having her hair done, the voluptuous 31-year-old decided to open Babydoll Beauty Couture in Las Vegas, a salon meant especially for big, beautiful women.

Babydoll Beauty Couture provides a welcoming and body-positive environment for plus-size women. While many salons make larger women feel uncomfortable, Babydoll Beauty Couture caters to voluptuous women, featuring custom-made styling chairs that hold up to 800 pounds and pedicure benches that hold up to 600 pounds.

“All women can be glamorous no matter what size you are,” says hairstylist Danielle Ramas.

Painted in gold and rich colors, the salon is designed to lift customers’ spirits, boost their confidence — and, of course, make them feel gorgeous! They even serve cupcakes and mimosas to help customers kick back, relax, and have fun.

While some Babydoll Beauty Couture customers are models and exotic dancers, many are ordinary women, young and old, who have not been pampered or visited a salon in a long time due to their size. Some have even been turned away from traditional salons because of their weight.

“Seeing these women feel beautiful means the world to me,“ says Jamie. “It’s what my business is all about.”
