This video, as simple as it may be, packs a powerful punch.

The Tomb of the Unknown at Arlington National Cemetery is a monument dedicated to American service members who have died without their remains being identified.

Sentinels require discipline and precise movement in order to carry out their duties, which visitors can watch from behind barriers.

When visiting this memorial, it’s of utmost importance that guests are silent and respectful.

During the military memorial below, a group of visitors start laughing and murmuring towards the end — and that’s when one of the guards silences the crowd by demanding respect.

“It is requested that everyone maintains a level of silence and respect,” he declares, as he stops in stance with his rifle out front.

Notice how everyone goes quiet as soon as he speaks.

The video below went viral with more than six million views on YouTube.

“Take off your damn hats, stand up, be quiet, and show some respect!” one commenter wrote. This is where people are buried who fought for YOU (Americans) and who were never able to be returned to their families for burial! Stop treating it like it’s some kind of entertainment devised for you; it’s not!”
