Losing a pet can be one of the most devastating experiences in one’s lifetime. A pet is like a family member to many animal lovers, and their sudden absence can leave a void in the life of an owner.
That’s likely how one Miami man felt when he lost his Rottweiler eight years ago.
Joshua Edwards was deeply saddened when his dog, Duke, suddenly vanished from his yard. The dog was nowhere to be found, and Joshua had to continue his day-to-day routine without his friend.
Then, eight years later, he got a call about the dog.
At first he didn’t realize his dog had been found. He was told that his name was assigned to a dog named Duke, and that his information was recovered thanks to the dog’s microchip.
Because so much time had passed, the dog’s name didn’t ring any bells.
But then he remembered and was finally able to see Duke again for the first time in years.
In the clip below, you can witness the heart-pounding moments when the dog sniffs the stranger and also remembers who he is!
Joshua was finally able to bring the pup home, after all this time. He says that Duke hasn’t changed since the last time he saw him: he’s still the playful puppy he was eight years ago!
Please SHARE if you’re glad this man and his dog can now spend the rest of their lives together, as planned!
