For our birthdays, we can only hope that our friends and family listen to our pleas and surprise us with the gifts we really want to receive. Sometimes, we can be very vague as to what we want from them, but one 12-year-old boy was very clear: He wanted pugs at his birthday party.

Mom Cierra Baumunk knew her son Hayden wanted those pups at his party, so she posted on social media about it, asking if anyone could help her make his dream come true.

Volunteers and rescuers at the Pug Rescue of Sacramento heard her plea and decided to help. When Hayden walked into the room for his party, he was surprised by dozens of the dogs waiting for him!

Local pug owners also decided to chip in and brought their own pets to the event.

But that wasn’t the end of the surprises for Hayden.

An anonymous stranger decided to adopt a pug in his name and give him to the boy for his birthday. An ecstatic Hayden named him Pumpkin.

What a sweet wish, and what a great way for the community to come together to make it come true! We’re sure Hayden had a fantastic time playing with all those adorable pups.

Please SHARE if you’re glad this young man got the birthday party of his dreams, and if you think it’s a theme your kids would love too!
