Since the dawn of time humans and dogs have been together through thick and thin; the relationship between these two species has long been intertwined, dogs have looked to us for food and humans rely on dogs for their amazing sense, defenses, and companionship.

So for the men who find themselves in prison, they often feel themselves losing their sense of humanity. Sitting for years behind bars is enough to drive anyone insane, and even though they may be hardened criminals, that doesn’t mean that their future has no hope.

But recently, programs all across America have found one amazing tool to help these hardened men soften up a bit and find their humanity again.d Using dogs! Stray dogs in need of humans are scattered all across America, and it seems that by combining dogs in need with prisoners, everybody is coming out better for the relationship!

Not only does it give these dogs a second chance at life, but it helps their humans soften a bit by taking care of something. The dogs need humans to care of them, and by doing that, these prisoners find their humanity again. Countless dogs are being saved every single day from high-kill shelters thanks to these prisoner programs!
