Princess Eugenie And Jack Brooksbank Tie The Knot In Gorgeous Windsor Castle Wedding

by Angela Andaloro

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are the latest royal couple to take a trip down the aisle. The couple was married this morning in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

If the scenery looks familiar, that’s because it’s the same venue that hosted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding earlier this year.

Princess Eugenie may not be a working royal, but she looked every bit the princess when arriving with her father, Prince Andrew. The bride wore a custom gown by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos. Her sister, Princess Beatrice, served as maid of honor in a royal blue jacket and skirt set by Ralph & Russo with a matching hat by Sarah Cant.

There were some familiar faces among the page boys and bridesmaids, namely Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who are Princess Eugenie’s second cousins. William and Kate, Harry and Meghan, Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth II, and Prince Philip were also all there to celebrate the marriage of Eugenie and Jack.

Princess Eugenie was radiant when arriving at St. George’s Chapel. Her father, Prince Andrew, accompanied her.

Princess Eugenie’s dress was designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos. The long, ivory gown featured a flowing train and folded shoulders that went into a low-cut back.

This design detail was a request made by the bride, who wished to showcase her scar from a scoliosis correction surgery she had as a child. “I think you can change the way beauty is, and you can show people your scars and I think it’s really special to stand up for that,” Princess Eugenie told ITV.

The Duke of York accompanied his daughter down the aisle as various members of the royal family looked on. There were 850 guests in attendance in addition to the 1,200 members of the public allowed on the grounds.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have dated for the last eight years. The two were introduced by mutual friends at a ski resort in Switzerland.

The couple were beaming as they exchanged vows. Like many modern couples, Eugenie decided to omit the word “obey” from her vows. Princess Diana was the first to do so in her 1981 wedding to Prince Charles.

Despite some of the gossip circulating saying that Prince Andrew was unhappy that the event wasn’t getting the same amount of attention as Harry and Meghan’s nuptials, everyone seemed jubilant to witness Eugenie and Jack come together as husband and wife.

This royal wedding also marks the first royal occasion that Beatrice and Eugenie’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, has attended in years. Their parents divorced in 1996, although they remain close friends and still live together at Royal Lodge.

The newlyweds shared two kisses on the steps of the chapel as onlookers cheered.

There were also a number of famous faces in the crowd outside the royal family. Robbie Williams, Ellie Goulding, Naomi Campbell, and Cara Delevingne were in attendance.

The bride and groom had originally planned to ride in an open-top carriage, but the high winds and rain meant a last-minute change in plans. Instead, they chose the Scottish State Coach. They looked radiant as they waved to the crowds on a short procession before returning to the castle.

Congratulations to the latest royal newlyweds on their special day!
