Princess Charlotte is following in her big brother’s footsteps! She just started school at Thomas’s Battersea in London on September 5, 2019.
Like Prince George, Charlotte wore a blue and red uniform to her first day.
Also like her brother, Charlotte initially seemed a little bit shy to meet her teacher. She clung to her mom, Kate Middleton, as she was accompanied to school. Unlike her big brother, though, Charlotte quickly warmed up to her new teacher.
Charlotte was reportedly really excited to start school. An insider told People, “She can’t wait to be with George at big school. She is so excited about it all.” Charlotte has always looked up to Prince George, so it’s no wonder that she’s thrilled to be starting school with him.
Although Charlotte had to wear a uniform, she made sure to put some personality into her outfit with an adorable sparkly keychain for her backpack. This will come as no surprise to most parents of young girls, but Charlotte is obsessed with unicorns. To make her uniform more uniquely her own, Charlotte added a unicorn accessory to her backpack.
The adorable little girl will undoubtedly have fun during her first year at Thomas’s Battersea. According to the school, she will be encouraged to “play and explore; make choices and learn to have a go and persevere; be creative and solve problems; form good relationships; be safe, secure and happy.”
