Animal Aid Team Rescues A Piglet Moments Away From Drowning

There weren’t many wells around my neighborhood when I was a little girl, but if there were, chances are good I’d be pretty terrified of getting trapped in one.

People always seem to be falling down wells, but as we know here at LittleThings, animals are way worse. And apparently it happens way too often in India, where the awesome heroes of Animal Aid Unlimited do their very best to rescue each and every one of them.

I recently shared this story about the heart-pounding rescue of a fully-grown donkey who somehow managed to fall down a well with absolutely no way out. The AAU team went above and beyond to save the injured animal, just like they did when they rushed to save a terrified, tiny puppy who did the exact same thing. In a land where so many animals roam free in the streets and countryside, these two have no idea just how lucky they really are!

This time around, the rescue was even more terrifying. The AAU animal angels rushed to a well where the gross, green water looks to be covered in algae or tiny leaves. At first, you couldn’t even tell who was trapped down there. When the heroes rappel down, they find a tiny piglet just moments away from drowning.

I don’t know about you, but this amazing rescue gave me chills. I’m so grateful for these good Samaritans!
