Here at LittleThings we’ve seen our fair share of tiny houses that break the mold.

These out-of-the-ordinary dwellings have run the gamut from tiny homes made from school buses to one shell-shaped house that made any inhabitant feel like a human crab for a day.

But what truly makes a distinctive-looking tiny house truly extraordinary is when it also has unique design features.

Case in point, take a gander at this design by Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses called “The Pequod Tiny House.” This house is the company’s “most elegant and complex build to date,” according to their site, and it was built for a family of four that currently resides in Indiana.

The company claims that this interesting mobile home was “very challenging and time consuming to execute“ but “a build such as this is the best of the best,” and once you step inside and fully gauge the fruits of their labor, your understand why…

According to the designers, “The wavy shape of the roof is a function of maximizing heights in the lofts, lowering ceiling heights elsewhere, and aiming for a ‘whimsical’ design aesthetic.”
