People magazine has named country superstar Blake Shelton as 2017’s Sexiest Man Alive!

The 41-year-old singer was stunned by the honor.

“Y’all must be running out of people,” he told the magazine. “Like, wow, we’re down to somebody who is somewhat symmetrical.”

Still, he says he’s learning to embrace it, and that he couldn’t have accepted it without the support of singer Gwen Stefani, his partner of two years. “She goes, ‘Listen to me, you’re going to regret this for the rest of your life if you don’t take this gift and just live in the moment,'” he said.

Blake is currently starring as a judge on the hit NBC show The Voice, and he’s also hit #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums this week with his latest album, Texoma Shore. He has been part of the music scene since 2001.

Originally from Tishomingo, Oklahoma, the 6’5 star says he tries to stay healthy, but when he’s home, he doesn’t hesitate to indulge his taste buds. He adds that he has a weakness for chips and dips!

Blake dethrones Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for the title, who was last year’s Sexiest Man Alive. Fellow The Voice coach Adam Levine was the magazine’s pick for 2013.

Past honorees include George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum, and Richard Gere.
