Students Crash Through Floor Into Downstairs Neighbor’s Living Room During Wild Party Gone Wrong

Students at the University of North Texas were throwing a homecoming party in their third-floor apartment recently when the entire floor under them collapsed.

Dozens of students had packed into a small apartment for the party, but the floor couldn’t handle their weight. Coupled with the fact that many of the students were jumping along to a live DJ’s music, the floor eventually gave way and collapsed.

Some students even fell with the floor, landing in the living room of the apartment below (the footage of some students climbing out of the rubble is downright shocking to see).

Thankfully, the students who lived downstairs weren’t home at the time, and police say that no one was seriously hurt in the scary accident.

Now, students are worried about getting a new place to live since their home is no longer habitable. Many have been set up in hotels, or are staying with friends and family.

This scary night could have ended much worse — and it’s a great reminder that sometimes what seems like a harmless night of partying and dancing with friends can take a dramatic turn.

Check out the video below to hear from some students who were at the homecoming party (including one woman who lost access to her apartment because of the incident), and please SHARE this story on Facebook.
