New Device From Pampers Alerts Parents When Their Baby Has A Dirty Diaper

Being a mom is hard work — especially when it comes to diapers. You normally need to experiment to see what brand works for you, and then you need to figure out when the best times to change are.

As your child grows older, it gets easier. But Pampers doesn’t want you to wait that long in order to feel confident about diaper changing. The company invented a device that’ll let you know when your child has a dirty diaper. In fact, the device will know it before your nose does.

Still not sold? Well, the device does something else that’ll help make your job slightly easier. It reportedly monitors your baby’s sleep patterns, which can be good data to have if a sleep regression hits.

The device is called Lumi, and it’s an activity sensor that clips right on your baby’s diaper. It’s nearly impossible for babies to remove, but easy for adults.

With new babies, it’s good to track diapers, sleep, and feedings. This monitor will make all of that just a bit easier for you. It might seem a little high tech, but monitoring babies is nothing new. Other devices, like the Owlet and the Snuza, have been out for some time. Those are more focused on breathing and monitoring the air than diapers, but it’s proof that these types of devices will become baby shower staples in the very near future. For Pampers to get into this side of the baby industry is quite smart.

Check out the Lumi and see how it’ll make newborn life easier than ever.
