You might have heard about cat cafes before. If you haven’t, they are just as wonderful as they sound: a cafe where you can grab a coffee while petting a cat.

Cat cafes have been gaining popularity quickly in recent years, but the Orlando Cat Cafe, in Orlando, Florida, has a special added bonus. Not just a traditional cafe, the Orlando Cat Cafe doubles as an adoption agency.

Every cat you sip your coffee with in the Orlando Cat Cafe is in need of a forever home, and it is founder Sandra Cagan’s mission to adopt out every last kitty.

After she turned 50, Sandra wanted to “follow [my] bliss and make a difference in the world,” so she decided to put her 20 years of property management experience to good use and open up the charitable Orlando Cat Cafe.

She combined her work experience with her love for cats to build something wonderful.

Sandra also made sure to work with a coffee company whose goals matched her own. Axum Coffee, the Orlando Cat Cafe’s partner, is named after an Ethiopian city that lacks clean drinking water. Axum helps people in need, while the Orlando Cat Cafe reaches out to cats in need.

Fittingly, HooplaHa reports that the Orlando Cat Cafe is only 4 miles from Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
