Woman Posts Photo Of Pet Kitty Online, Then Learns He Might Be The Longest Cat In The World

The current owner of the Guinness World Record for the longest domestic cat in the world is Ludo, a Maine coon who lives in the United Kingdom.

Ludo was last measured in 2015 — coming in close to a whopping 47 inches.

Well, Ludo might officially have some competition!

Meet Omar, another Maine coon cat, who lives in Australia with his mom, Stephy. According to Stephy, Omar is exactly 47 inches long and weighs 30 pounds!

Just look at the size of this kitty!

According to Metro UK, the Instagram Stephy made for Omar has become an overnight success. Why? Despite his size, the kitty is still able to comfortably squeeze himself into small spaces.

He’s also as large as both of Stephy’s dogs.

It was only after posting photos of Omar to that Instagram account that she began receiving lots of messages and attention. Omar now has 42.5 thousand followers and counting!

Stephy has since been contacted by the Guinness World Records to see if Omar is truly longer than Ludo.

Even though Omar looks like a saber-toothed tiger in disguise, the 3-year-old Maine coon acts pretty much like a regular house cat.

He loves to relax and lounge around the house, and he also enjoys his special diet: a blend of cat food that’s specific to Maine coons, plus raw kangaroo meat.
