Olivia Newton-John would like everyone to know that she is not dying, thankyouverymuch.

Recently, tabloids claimed that Olivia was “clinging on to life” and reported that her bodily functions were shutting down. Fortunately, those rumors aren’t true.

The 70-year-old star may be battling stage 4 breast cancer, but she’s definitely not on death’s doorstep.

Olivia took to Facebook to clear up the rumors about her health. “Happy New Year, everyone,” she exclaimed in a video. “This is Olivia Newton-John, and I just want to say that the, uh, the rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.… I’m doing great, and I want to wish all of you the happiest, healthiest 2019 that’s possible.”

In the video, Olivia looks healthy and happy, and she smiles the entire time she’s on camera.

Olivia first battled breast cancer in 1992. She went through chemotherapy and had a partial mastectomy, but she came out the other side feeling positive. In 2017, her cancer returned. Despite being in pain, she continued performing throughout 2017 and 2018.

Fans were so happy to see Olivia’s Facebook video. They immediately commented, wishing her good health and a happy new year.

One woman wrote, “The fact that Olivia took time to make this video to reassure her fans that these unfounded stories were just malicious rumours goes to show how much she cares about her fans. It is great to see her looking so well and may she continue to battle and fight her cancer and win. God bless you Livvy.”

Another fan said, “Such an inspiration. Only cancer survivors know the fears we carry every day when a new pain is felt and as we meet our regular check-ups with courage. Each ‘good’ result is a joy and we continue on for ourselves and our families as we want to see and share and be more in this wonderful world. ONJ you are a constant part of that joy … carry on your Goddess work.”

Hopefully Olivia continues to fight her cancer with the same positivity and joy she always has!
