Courtney Pedigo took her 1-year-old daughter Harlynn for a sit-down dinner at the Olive Garden in Greensboro, North Carolina. But halfway through their meal, Harlynn started to cry and fuss.
Courtney became more and more stressed the longer Harlynn refused to sit still, trying her hardest to escape her booster seat and run around the restaurant.
Not wanting to make a scene or have things escalate in public, Courtney flagged down her server and quietly asked for a to-go box so they could leave and take their dinner home.
But the exhausted mom was confused and surprised when her server, a 22-year-old woman named Nianna Rudder, said “No.”
Nianna made it clear she wasn’t going to allow Courtney and Harlynn to cut their meal short.
What followed was an act of kindness that left Courtney in a state of “complete shock” — so much so that she took to Facebook that night to share her story with the world.
Now it’s going viral and helping to restore a little more faith in humanity.
