Almost every single day, I think about booking myself a massage — then I remember the price and resign myself to a simple bath at home or a heat pack for my back.
It seems like sitting in a desk chair all day should be easy and painless, but it actually causes a lot of aches and pains in a variety of places around the body.
By the end of the work day, my back hurts, my knees are sore, my shoulders are tense, and my hips feel uncomfortable. Standing and stretching my legs sometimes does the trick, but often I don’t feel relief until I lie down in bed at night.
Each morning I remind myself to try to get up and walk around the office, but I somehow always seem to forget once I get sucked into my daily tasks.
The following four stretches are great for unwinding from a day of work — after doing these easy exercises, I always feel refreshed and renewed. Try them out next time you feel tired and sore from your day!
