Orphaned Cheetah Babies Snuggle Up To Their Brand New Foster Mom

When you think of the relationships that dogs have with cats, the first thing that comes to mind is that these two species just do not get along with each other.

While that idea is certainly arguable, there are countless homes that have dogs living with cats in perfect harmony. So when a group of tiny orphaned cheetah cubs were in dire need of a new mom after she had passed away, a very surprising foster mom stepped up to the plate in the most inspiring way possible, and the animal experts at The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden couldn’t be happier!

In the video below, these five cheetah cubs are growing fast and they need a patient, furry friend to care for them like their own.

They’re not big enough to play with the adult cheetahs, so their resident nursery dog Blakely is here to help.

Quiet and loving, he’s there to provide someone warm to cuddle up next to and someone patient and strong for the babies to play with and climb all over to build their strength. The cubs are at the stage where they need to be comfortable on all 4 paws, and even though they’ll one day be some of the fastest animals out there, they all have to start from somewhere and take their time.

The cubs will grow, play, and learn in the nursery for 8 to 12 weeks before they move on up to the real world. Kids grow up so fast!

Please SHARE if you’re so thankful that these babies have someone to snuggle up with!
