Nurse Uses Clever ‘Magic Tricks’ To Help Little Boy Overcome His Fear Of Getting 3 Shots

Nowadays, if I need to get some testing done at the doctor’s office and it requires blood getting drawn, I don’t shiver at the prospect of a needle. They don’t scare me anymore, but I’m almost certain that they did when I was a kid.

I’m sure many people can relate to that, too; as a child, the idea of a needle going into your arm can be terrifying. But luckily for Dimitri, the little boy in the video below, a nurse had a couple of “magic tricks” to help him get through it!

According to Dimitri’s grandma, Tiffany Shelby Marshall, the little boy was incredibly nervous about his shots. In total, he was set to receive three injections in his arms along with a prick on his finger.

She even promised him $5 if he could be a big boy and keep himself composed during the shots, but I don’t think either of them ever imagined how his nurse would actually help him achieve his goal.

The moment the nurse began to get everything ready for his shots to be administered, she told Dimitri that she had a magic trick to share — one that would allow them to paint.

“We’re gonna paint, and we’re gonna make circles on this paper right here,” she told him.

She then pricked his finger, and with the blood drawn she led him to “paint” the blood on her card. Dimitri was amazed!

Then came the injections Dimitri feared so much. But the nurse had some magic prepared for those, too.
