Sometimes, we just want to see that our beloved pets are doing OK when we are away and there’s absolutely no harm in that. Nowadays, more and more pet owners are turning to surveillance systems and nanny cams to watch over their pets when they can’t be there.
According to the American Kennel Club, Newfoundlands are “sweet, patient, devoted. Newfs are famously good companions.” When this chocolate Newfoundland’s owner wanted to see what he was up to when she wasn’t home, he acted in quite an unexpected way.
The large, fluffy dog named Samson walked into the living room and headed straight for the couch, which matches his own rich, brown coat.
He hopped up onto the seating area and sniffed around, not knowing that there was a surveillance camera peeking at him from behind the top of the backrest.
He looked up slightly and made eye contact with the lens as it recorded his every move. He went back to his doggy business, hanging around the couch.
Then, it hit him. He was being watched.
Samson looked back up again and stared down the camera sitting in front of him.
Nobody knows what was going through the suspicious dog‘s mind, but what happened next really said it all.
The adorably curious and possibly angered dog pounced on the camera, trapping the device inside his jaw. He furiously gnawed on the surveillance camera that his owner set up, toppling it over several times.
