The future king of England just turned 6 years old, and his awesome personality is really starting to shine through.

The new generation of royals began with the birth of George Alexander Louis, aka Prince George, the oldest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

On the day before George’s birthday, Kensington Palace released a series of adorable new photos to celebrate the little prince. “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share new photographs of Prince George to mark His Royal Highness’s sixth birthday,” the caption stated.

The collection of snapshots, which show George beaming with joy in his soccer uniform, were taken in the gardens at Kensington Palace.

They were shot by Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge herself.

It has become an annual tradition for Kensington Palace to share snapshots taken by his proud mom.

Prince George’s birth marked a monumental moment for the royal family. He’s the third great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth, but he became the future of the monarchy. George is third in the line of succession to this throne, following his father and grandfather.
