New moms have a lot on their minds after giving birth.
On top of loving and caring for their new additions, many moms feel pressure to work out so their bodies return to the way they were before pregnancy.
Of course, not every mom has to do this — and no one has to. But new mom Anna wanted to get physical again after her baby was born. Seeing as working out also makes you feel better, almost anyone can benefit from it.
Anna got back to her workout schedule only 10 days after giving birth. But when this new mom laced up her shoes again, something felt different.
Anna felt a pressure to cover up her body, which was still recovering from giving birth. But donning Spanx and a full outfit was uncomfortable, and didn’t feel right. Anna wanted to work out the way she always had — so she did.
Anna decided to film herself working out in a sports bra and shorts to remind mothers everywhere that they should be proud of their post-baby bodies, not ashamed. Anna was nervous she would be judged for not “bouncing back” right away, but she also knew her body had done something incredible, and that should be celebrated.
Anna’s message is important for new mothers everywhere. She even found a fun, adorable way to incorporate her sweet baby into her fun workout!
