Winter is coming, and with it, so are colds.

It starts as a little sniffle, but anyone who’s ever had to deal with a winter cold (which is probably everyone on the planet) can attest to the fact that one little sniffle can morph into a big, bad cough quicker than we can catch it.

If you know anything about me, you know that I’m not a fan of chemicals or ingredients I can’t pronounce, which is why I try to stay away from over-the-counter cough medicines. Sure, sometimes you really do need it, but most of the time, I look for herbal remedies, because in my experience, they work just as well!

If you’re like me, author Sophie Uliano has a great natural cough syrup recipe that you’re definitely going to want to try. Using easy-to-find herbs, honey, and some water, she creates a simple syrup for both children and adults that is sure to ease your throat this winter!
