Rescue Cow Has Never Heard Music Before. Then, Girl Starts Playing The Violin

Humans may not be the only creatures who can come together through the power of song.

Any living being on two or four legs from dogs to cats to elephants to ostriches can pick up a tune and “get jiggy with it” if they are so compelled — even if they have four left paws. But it’s OK. We can’t all be incredible synchronized dancers.

In fact, no animal has to even be a dancer to appreciate good music. At least, these cows in the video below don’t have to be. We think we know all the ways to treat an animal for being good. Just give them a nice snack or some extra pets and scratches, right? Well, it turns out that a light melody might lift their furry spirits just as much.

A farm in upstate New York invited some classically trained musicians from Ohio to come play for their animals, and it turns out that bovine love Bach!

The cows came running over as soon they struck the first note, and they silently watched and listened like any good, cultured audience would. As they chew their cud with the live music in front of them, it’s almost like a nice night out to a jazz club.

It should also be noted that the “skinny” cow was very recently saved from a horrible life. She’s slowly gaining weight in her new home!
