Now that we have officially entered the holiday season, I’ve been on the hunt for the most creative crafts that I can share with my friends and family.

For my newest DIY project, I turned to the trusted muffin tin — a tool that we’ve used to churn out countless mouthwatering recipes, like these delectable 15-minute stuffed breakfast rolls.

Luckily, our wonderful DIY-ers here at LittleThings have discovered the perfect way to disguise a regular muffin tin: with 12 muffin molds each, two pans could make a great base for an Advent calendar!

First, cut out 24 circles from adhesive felt sheets. Each circle should measure 2 1/4 inches wide, or large enough to cover each of the tins.

Next, fill the tins with little candies, toys, notes, or any other small mementos, before adding on the felt circles. Next, either draw on the calendar dates, or add some little numbered stickers.

After stringing the two pans together with ribbons, you’re all ready to go! Now you’ll have the perfect handmade countdown to Christmas day!
