There are wedding dances, and then there are wedding dances. The latter, off-the-wall and infinitely more epic version of the classic wedding dance has been popping up at receptions, and it’s just awesome. Whether a creative bride and groom, a fun-loving father and daughter, or a really organized group of bridesmaids, people are turning wedding dances into full-scale performances.

I really thought I had stepped into the movies when a couple perfectly recreated the famous final dance from Dirty Dancing (lift and everything!). So many months of practice must have gone into it. It doesn’t always have to be professionally choreographed, either. This father and daughter had their guests in stitches when they pumped up the energy of their father-daughter dance. How fun is that?

When it came time for his wedding, Justin McCabe knew he wanted an epic mother-son dance, but had some convincing to do. Apparently, up until a few moments before they started their routine, his mom was telling him she didn’t want to do it.

It’s a good thing she did, though, because the resulting dance is pure entertainment. Watch as they bust all the moves to several different songs, and just see their smiles grow the whole time. McCabe family gatherings must be a blast!
