Mom Who Wanted To Shower In Hospital After Giving Birth Found Bugs Crawling All Over The Walls

A mom who recently gave birth to her third child says that the hospital where she was staying put her and her newborn in jeopardy.

Grace Randolph had a complicated delivery, and her baby was in the neonatal intensive care unit while she recovered in the maternity ward of the Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center.

She decided to take a shower there, but what she saw made her stomach turn. Grace says there were tiny black bugs crawling all over the walls, and she caught them on camera.

The mom complained, but she claims that the hospital staff wasn’t helpful.

“They said that they could spray the room after I left and that was the other part I was unhappy with, was while I was waiting, I wasn’t offered a clean place to shower or another room,” Grace told KFOR.

To add to her negative experience, she says that none of the information they had about her was accurate; at one point, the staff had another patient’s records and file but not hers.

She can only begin to imagine what could have happened if her husband wasn’t with her, or if she hadn’t been conscious.

The hospital stated that it takes the health and safety of its patients seriously, and is looking into the issue.
