Mom Sees How Big The Snake In Her Living Room Is, Decides To Catch Him With A Pillowcase Anyway

One mom came home to a huge surprise in Forest City, North Carolina.

On June 6, 2017, SunShine McCurry spotted a ginormous, 6-foot black snake in her living room, and she was having none of it.

Instead of screaming and calling animal control, SunShine decided she was perfectly capable of handling the snake on her own — no professionals required.

The fearless mom was recorded taking a pillowcase and wrangling the snake with her bare hands!

“Oh yeah, look at that,” she says while grabbing the snake. “Look at that! Right in the living room is what I’m talking about!”

While she’s able to grab the snake with the pillowcase, he slithers and slides around, making it very difficult for her to get his entire body inside the pillowcase.

“Sometimes, you gotta wrangle ‘em,” SunShine says.

She succeeds for only a moment, until his body is right back outside the pillowcase. You can see him musk SunShine, and her shaking her hand as a result. (Snakes secrete musk when they’re feeling threatened; it’s just like when skunks spray, but a snake’s musk contains urine and feces — gross!)

The mom is finally able to get him inside the pillowcase and walks him outside, where he can safely slither far, far away from her house!
