Thanks to the actions of an alert woman, a missing grandpa and granddaughter were found safely.
It all started when Michelle Senibadli heard a baby’s cry coming from somewhere in her neighborhood. According to CBS Boston, Michelle heard the noise and knew something wasn’t right.
“We don’t have a lot of babies around this neighborhood, so I just thought it was very strange to hear a baby crying out in the cold,” Michelle told CBS.
She walked two houses down and found the source of the noise.
An elderly man was standing in a backyard, holding onto a carriage with a baby inside.
“The baby was still in the carriage and [the man] was just standing in the backyard. He looked confused, like he didn’t know where he was,” Michelle recalled.
She felt like she had seen them before, and then it hit her: they’d shown up on a Revere Police Department missing persons post online. The man and the baby were on it, 74-year-old Nicolai Denisov and his 10-month-old granddaughter.
Michelle quickly called 911, and authorities arrived to rescue Nicolai and his granddaughter. They took them to the hospital, where both were doing OK. “I’m happy everything worked out good and everybody is healthy,” Michelle remarked.
