They Know Boxer Is Pregnant, But When She Starts Giving Birth, They Marvel At Her Puppies

In October 2016, a pregnant Boxer mix named Mireya was taken to a high-kill shelter in western Tennessee. Pregnant dogs cannot be adopted, and puppies born at this particular high-kill shelter will not make it out alive.

The entire family needed a “rescue commitment” and fast. As for Mireya, it’s almost like she knew she needed to hold out and wait for a miracle before giving birth in these poor conditions.

That’s when the incredible folks at the Conway Area Humane Society stepped in and became Mireya’s guardian angel.

It didn’t take long for Mireya to reveal just how sweet and loving she is. She wants nothing more than to be pet and cuddled, and the staff at CAHS knew she was going to make a wonderful mother. Before they knew it, it was time to prepare for their arrival. Mireya knew she was finally safe.

All of the proper steps were taken to ensure Mireya had a safe and successful delivery. One of the staff members was even caught sleeping in her bed at night, just in case she went into labor.

Just a few weeks after her arrival at CAHS, Mireya gave birth to 10 healthy puppies! The average litter size for a boxer is six! And just wait until you see how adorable they are…
