Miranda Lambert Responds To Rumors That She And Husband Brendan McLoughlin Have Already Split

by Angela Andaloro

The women of country music are a force to be reckoned with. When they hear rumors about themselves, they have no problem addressing them head-on.

This time, the rumors are coming at Miranda Lambert. The country songstress quietly married NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin in January after dating for just two and a half months. The two met in November when Miranda performed with her band, Pistol Annies, on Good Morning America. Brendan was working in Times Square, where the performance was filmed.

Their whirlwind love story seems like a happy ending after the difficult split between Miranda and ex-husband Blake Shelton.

That hasn’t stopped rumors of a split from already plaguing the newlyweds. Trolls have come out and said that Miranda and Brendan are heading for a divorce. Miranda decided to tackle the rumors directly. Miranda’s rep released a statement shutting down the rumors, confirming that Miranda and Brendan are very much happy and in love.

Miranda Lambert is one of the most no-nonsense women in country music. She’s never afraid to take control of her narrative.

Miranda spills her heart and soul into her music, and she’s never been shy about including her romantic life in it, too. “Love is a hard road sometimes and it’s been a roller-coaster ride for me, but I’m definitely thankful for all the ups and downs because I’ve had some really good songs come out of it,” she told The Tennessean in 2018.

Miranda was previously married to fellow country music artist Blake Shelton. The two met in 2005 after being paired together for a CMT duet special.

The couple wed in 2011 and were married for four years. They split following some nasty cheating allegations on both sides in 2015.

Just two months after announcing the split, Miranda started dating singer Anderson East. The pair lasted for two and a half years before splitting in March 2018.

Just a few weeks later, rumors swirled that Miranda was seeing Evan Felker of Turnpike Troubadours. The relationship was controversial as Evan was still married at the time. Although he had filed for divorce, things between him and Miranda ended late that summer.

Miranda flaunted her single status and seemed happy doing her own thing. She focused on her music with Pistol Annies.

It was during a Pistol Annies’ performance that Miranda met Brendan. The band performed on Good Morning America. Brendan was one of the police officers working the show.

Brendan had a bit of a messy situation of his own. He got another woman pregnant while cheating on his fiancée. His child from the infidelity was born just three days after Brendan met Miranda.

Miranda seemed to be able to handle Brendan’s situation, and things continued to blossom for the couple. They quietly tied the knot on January 26. Miranda shared the news with her fans for Valentine’s Day.

The couple made their red carpet debut just a few weeks ago! Brendan accompanied Miranda to the 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas on April 7.

Miranda seems quite happy since announcing the news of her new marriage. That hasn’t stopped the trolls from thinking something is wrong, like in this photo where she isn’t wearing a wedding ring.

Despite divorce rumors plaguing the newlyweds, Miranda is firm that everything is going well for the two. Her rep confirmed to both People and E! News that “[The report] is completely made up. Not one iota is true.”

Miranda and Brendan seem to enjoy splitting their time between Nashville and New York City. Whirlwind romances may not be for everyone, but so far it’s all looking good for the couple.
