If you’re tired of spending hundreds of dollars at the salon, you’ll love this next beauty trick that you can do at home.

You can make sure your feet are soft, smooth, and ready to be seen with this simple recipe that uses just two ingredients that you likely already have in your kitchen. Milk and baking soda is all you need to give your feet a treat!

In the video below, Tabitha Blue from KitchenWise gives a step-by-step beauty demonstration on how to make the foot bath. First, warm 2–4 cups of milk and put it in a bowl big enough to fit your feet. The milk helps to soften and nourish healthy skin, while the lactic acid in the milk helps to exfoliate the skin.

After several minutes of soaking, rub baking soda over your feet. This has great exfoliating properties that will help soften calluses. Then, soak your feet for another five minutes. In no time, you will love how soft your feet feel — all while saving a lot of money.
