Military families make the ultimate sacrifice, giving up time with their children and spouses to serve our country overseas.

Everyday experiences that many of us take for granted (like holidays, school functions, and even baseball games) are luxuries that parents serving in the military often miss.

Air Force Sgt. Andria Allmond wanted to surprise her husband and children with a special message, letting them know that even though she was far away, they were always in her heart. Only, she did it in a pretty spectacular way: on the big screen at Citizens Bank Park during a Philadelphia Phillies game!

Her husband, who is also an Air Force veteran, and two adorable children were called out on the field as their brave mom appeared on the big screen. The looks on their faces are just precious as they listen to their mom’s words spreading through the stadium.

Phillies players then presented the family with official team jerseys. The players also plan to wear stars and stripes to honor veterans and servicemen and women at an upcoming game.

Here’s hoping Sgt. Allmond stays safe and that she’s reunited with her family soon. Maybe next summer they can all attend a Phillies game together!.

Please help thank Air Force Sgt. Allmond for her service as well as all the other brave servicemen and women by SHARING this story on Facebook.
