Daughter Leaps Into Military Dad’s Arms When He Comes Home From His 8th Deployment

Most parents would agree that it’s hard to spend every moment in the day with your children, no matter how much you love them.

A minute here or there to revel in silence would probably be appreciated by most.

But what’s perhaps worse than spending every waking moment around your kids is never getting to spend time with them at all.

Military men and women who are parents don’t get to spend much time with their kids and other loved ones because they’re away for months at a time. Abroad, they wish they could do all the things other parents do, like bring them to school, help with homework, and go to their sports games.

Chief Brian Callipo just came home from his eighth deployment abroad, but he couldn’t return without surprising his kids.

The three of them weren’t expecting the surprise — least of all daughter Abby Callipo, who thought her dad wouldn’t make home in time to catch one of her volleyball games. Of course, she was wrong!

The Navy dad showed up just in time, surprising Abby and her two siblings at school.

During his many months away, he missed a lot: Abby had worked her way into becoming captain, too.

Please SHARE to welcome the Navy dad home, and if you know he’ll be caught up on the happenings at home quite soon!
