Did Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth just tie the knot?! It certainly looks that way.
Fans of the couple have been freaking out over Instagram photos and videos that appear to show an intimate wedding celebration at the home they share in Franklin, Tennessee, on December 23. People reports that the couple’s friend, professional surfer Conrad Carr, shared a photo of Liam and Miley cutting what definitely appears to be a wedding cake on Sunday night.
In the picture, Liam is wearing a tuxedo, while Miley is wearing a white dress. The singer’s mom, Tish, appears in the background as well.
In a video also posted by Conrad, the 28-year-old actor (and possible groom) can be seen doing a “shotski” off a long wooden board with his brothers, fellow actors Chris and Luke. Large “Mr. & Mrs.” balloons can be seen in the background of that video, a tell-tale sign that some sort of wedding celebration is happening.
Miley’s sisters, Noah and Brandi, were also in attendance at the party, each sharing photos of themselves and Conrad in their Instagram stories.
If Miley and Liam are indeed married, this fits with some previous rumored reports that the two would have a low-key and spur-of-the-moment ceremony. A source told Entertainment Tonight back in March that the eventual wedding would be an intimate affair: “Miley has come up with all sorts of different wedding plans. She is always creative and thinking of new ideas that will make her experience different… She hasn’t announced anything because she is being very secretive so only their friends will know and at the very last minute. This time they are doing everything their own way.”
The couple was previously engaged in 2012 after several years in an on-again, off-again relationship. The two called off their first engagement and split in 2013, before eventually reuniting in 2015. By the following year, the two had gone public with their renewed relationship and were once again engaged.
If the Christmas Eve’s eve celebration was a wedding, congrats to the happy newlyweds!
