“Weddings. They bring everyone together!” — one of the vampires from Twilight, and also, me.
Come on, now; if you don’t love a wedding, there has to be something seriously wrong with you.
Watching two people come together and commit themselves to each other for the rest of eternity is a beautiful thing. It’s an event meant to celebrate love, triumph, and, in this case, fist-pumping.
Jersey Shore star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino got married to college sweetheart Lauren Pesce in a beautiful ceremony at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, on Thursday, November 1. They were joined by friends and family, including the cast of Jersey Shore.
In an exclusive statement to US Weekly, the newly hitched couple gushed: “We are so incredibly excited to begin our journey as husband and wife! We are each other’s best friend and together we can handle anything. Thank you to all our family, friends and fans who have supported us every step of the way. Gym, Tan, Laurens is the new GTL! With Love, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Sorrentino.”
Mike and Lauren tied the knot ahead of the reality star’s shocking prison sentence. He was found guilty of tax evasion and sentenced to eight months in prison, and he is set to serve his sentence starting January 15, 2019.
