One thing most kids probably have in common is the fact that they all hate getting shots at the pediatrician’s office.
I know that, when I was little, my mom had to hold me down while I screamed my lungs out trying to make a mad dash for the door.
There were even times that I completely passed out after getting a shot — I’d worked myself into such a frenzy. So, I can definitely sympathize with little Michaela when she was getting her flu shot on October 28, 2012.
As many older brothers do, Michaela’s decided to tell her that the flu shot was going to be super-painful.
“It’s worse than you think,” her brother said. “It’s way worse!”
This instantly triggered the little girl to start screaming. She even pushed the nurse’s hand away. “OK, go!” she yelled, just wanting to get it over with. “Go, go go!”
The nurse and the girl’s mom tried to calm her down by saying her brother was totally fine when he got his — that he didn’t even know it had happened. When the camera pans to the brother, you can tell he’s getting a kick out of riling up Michaela.
The nurse told her to press the button to her right to help ease the pain, but the little girl still turned bright red and yelled while getting her shot. She even continued to freak out when the nurse was only putting a pink bandage on her arm.
