From the moment Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their official debut as a couple, fans of the royal family have been daydreaming about what their royal wedding would be like.
When the palace publicly acknowledged the relationship and Meghan gave a lengthy interview about it earlier this year, savvy followers of the royal Brits knew that the romance was getting serious. After all, only two of Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriends were ever officially acknowledged by palace officials!
Sure enough, the Prince of Wales officially announced Prince Harry’s engagement to Meghan in late November. This news wasn’t much of a surprise to most, but it did kick royal wedding fever into high gear.
Now, we’re getting our first look at a few wedding dress possibilities for Meghan, as a potential designer’s sketches have been made public.

From the moment the royal engagement was announced, royal family fans have been eager to learn all they can about the upcoming wedding.
A few important details have already been confirmed, such as the venue (St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle) and date (May 19, 2018).
A few more possible details have emerged as unconfirmed rumors, such as the fact that Meghan and Prince Harry may opt for a nontraditional banana wedding cake.
But most of all, fans have been eager to get an idea of what Meghan’s wedding dress might be. Much like her future sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, Meghan is quickly becoming known for her simple yet elegant fashion sense.
Now, followers of the royal family have gotten a first look at potential wedding dress designs provided to the future Duchess.
TMZ reported that Israeli designer Inbal Dror was contacted by the royal family and asked about possibly dressing Meghan for her wedding day.
They also obtained three sketches (pictured above) that the designer submitted for consideration.
A spokesperson for the designer confirmed to People that they’d been asked by the palace to send a sketch for Meghan’s consideration.
“We received a request from the royal family to send a sketch,” they said, declining to comment on the details of the design. “Unfortunately it’s a secret and I can’t give more details about the sketch.”
Inbal was previously best known for dressing Beyoncé for the 2016 Grammy Awards.
TMZ reports that most of Inbal’s designs cost between $8,000 and $10,000.
A quick look through the designer’s social media accounts proves that she’s certainly got a way with elegant, body-hugging, and extremely feminine designs.
All three of the sketches submitted feature long sleeves and cinched waists, which are traditional among royal brides — Princess Diana’s and Kate Middleton’s gowns each shared similar features, though both were more classic and traditional than Inbal’s more modern designs.
Of course, Inbal Dror isn’t the definite choice for Meghan’s wedding dress designer just yet. It’s unknown so far what other designers (if any) have been contacted about providing design ideas and sketches.
The official designer hasn’t been announced (and likely hasn’t even been chosen) as of now.
