Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly upgrading to a bigger home to make room for their growing family.

Not only are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcoming a baby in the spring, but Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, will also need some space to call her own.

Baby Sussex will be Doria’s first grandchild, and she’s hoping to become a very hands-on grandma, the Daily Mail reports. That means she’ll be staying with her daughter and son-in-law “on a regular basis” after the baby arrives.

But the duke and duchess currently live in a humble two-bedroom cottage at Kensington Palace.

That leaves one bedroom for the new baby, and… no space for Grandma. So the couple is moving on up.

“They are expecting a baby early next year and obviously need a bit more space. It is not like this has just come up,” a source told Daily Mail.

Meghan and Harry will leave Kensington Palace next month. They’ll move into Frogmore Cottage, a 10-bedroom property on the Windsor estate, where Grandma Doria will reportedly have her very own wing.

But perhaps no one is more excited than Meghan’s mother, Doria.

Meghan’s baby will be Doria’s first grandchild — a dream come true for any mom!

Doria released a statement about the pregnancy shortly after the announcement.

“Ms. Ragland is very happy about this lovely news, and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild,” Kensington Palace told the press.

The 62-year-old plans to be a very hands-on grandma, the Daily Mail reports.

In fact, royal insiders say she’d like to stay with her daughter and son-in-law “on a regular basis” when the baby comes.

The new place has a whopping 10 bedrooms, according to Cosmopolitan, so there’s plenty of room for the growing family.

The couple reportedly wants Doria to have her very own wing in their new home.

Doria has been welcomed into the royal family with open arms. The Queen reportedly even invited her to spend Christmas with the royals, which is very unusual.

And Doria has spent plenty of time with Meghan and Harry since the marriage. She seems to get along with everyone in the royal family swimmingly.

Soon, she’ll get to spoil Baby Sussex as often as she pleases.
