Critics Think Meghan Markle Needs To Be Taught How To Properly Cradle Archie

by Angela Andaloro

Meghan Markle stepped out for a family outing with baby Archie Harrison this week. The Duchess of Sussex joined husband Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children for a day out at the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day at Billingbear Polo Club in Berkshire.

Fans of the royal family were delighted to see photos of the duchesses spending time together with their kids. However, critics are already questioning Meghan’s mothering abilities.

As the many photos of the outing made the rounds online, critics took issue with the way Meghan held Archie in some photos. Many people felt the duchess was struggling to get a good grip on the 8-week-old. Posts featuring the photos amassed all sorts of negative comments.

“You’d think after eight weeks she’d know how to hold him properly,” wrote one commenter. “She looks totally out of her depth,” another wrote, adding, “She needs someone to show her how to hold a baby.”

Fans of Meghan came to her defense. They reasoned that people were just looking for something to criticize the new mom about. When commenters drew comparisons between Meghan and Kate, fans shut them down. As one fan noted, no woman would want her first moments of motherhood completely dissected. Others pointed out that she may have been cradling him in a more protective way than usual because of the media presence.

Despite the criticism, both Meghan and Archie seemed happy to spend the day outdoors. We can’t wait to see more playdates with all the royal children!
