Pregnant Meghan Markle Was Caught Crying During A Commonwealth Day Service

The royals recently came out in force to celebrate Commonwealth Day. Queen Elizabeth, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were all in attendance.

Part of the annual celebration includes a ceremony at Westminster Abbey.

It’s likely to be one of Meghan Markle’s last public appearances before she gives birth to her child. Meghan and Harry announced back in October they were expecting their first little one. The announcement said they would welcome their child in the spring. We’re likely to meet the little one in the next month or so!

All eyes have been on Meghan ever since the announcement. People have been taking a closer look at everything about the duchess, from due date hints to maternity fashion.

During the BBC live broadcast of the event, onlookers spotted Meghan tearing up at an emotional moment in the service. Many thought pregnancy hormones might have been the cause.

This year’s Commonwealth Day marks Meghan Markle’s second as a member of the royal family. The celebration and the last few days have been exciting ones for the duchess.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Queen Elizabeth announced that Meghan Markle had been named vice president of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust. The Queen is the patron, and Harry serves as president.

The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust serves as a way of connecting and elevating the messages of young leaders as they work for their communities and promote change. Meghan will work specifically with girls and women to this end.

Harry and Meghan kicked off Commonwealth Day by celebrating with young Canadians while visiting Canada House. Meghan wore a dark green Erdem coat accented with floral sequins and a matching dress.

Meghan and Harry later attended Commonwealth Day services with the rest of the royal family. It was a fun-filled day for the parents-to-be.

Meghan wore a long white coat with a black-and-white dress by Victoria Beckham. She finished off the look with a white pillbox hat.

There was a moment during the service that seemed to have caught many by surprise. It came during a performance from the singer Alfie Boe.

Alfie was performing an a cappella version of “Run” by Snow Patrol. During the performance, the BBC’s live cameras panned over to the Duchess of Sussex, who was visibly quite choked up.

Meghan is usually pretty composed, so many are questioning whether her hormones might have gotten the best of her. She’s due to give birth to her and Harry’s first child sometime in the next few weeks.

Besides the beautiful rendition of an emotional song, there’s a lot for Meghan to have feelings about right now. She’s being elevated to a position where she can influence young women, despite the vitriol she’s faced during her first year as a royal.

She’s getting new opportunities to advocate for change on causes she’s been passionate about for many years. She’s making the most out of her role in the most famous family in the world.

The last year has certainly been a whirlwind for Harry and Meghan. They’ve traveled to many different parts of the world, become husband and wife, and will soon become first-time parents.

We can’t blame the duchess for getting a little misty-eyed during one of the calmer moments in her recent whirlwind of a life. Things are only going to change even more drastically from here on out!

Meghan isn’t scheduled for any additional public events in anticipation of the baby’s arrival. That means it’s likely that the next time we see Meghan, we’ll also be meeting Baby Sussex!
