Having a baby is cause for celebration! There’s little that brings more joy than the prospect of a tiny boy or girl joining the family.

So when a Marine found out that his wife was pregnant, he couldn’t be more thrilled!

Unfortunately, Captain Gregory Veteto and his wife weren’t able to celebrate together, as she discovered she was pregnant three months after his deployment. It was such a surprise for everyone!

However, the captain realized he could still share the good news with his Marine Corps buddies. He decided to throw his own gender reveal party with all of his deployed friends in attendance.

The Marine used a football filled with either pink or blue powder. Once kicked, the football would explode, revealing the color of the powder inside.

In the short clip below, you can see the moment the soldier punts the football. It looks like Captain Veteto is expecting a little girl! He cheers, as do his buddies, who couldn’t be happier for him.

“Kicking it and seeing the pictures and the videos, it was really a joyful moment for me and my family,” he said. “It just really warmed my heart to see a lot of smiles on the Marines’ faces.”

Hopefully, he will be able to make it home soon to be with his pregnant wife, and then with his new daughter!

Please SHARE to congratulate this Marine on the wonderful news!
