When Kevin Howard’s wife expressed her desire to separate after 12 years of marriage, the couple from North Carolina agreed to attend marriage counseling.
Despite the fact they were both participating in therapy, Kevin had a sneaking suspicion that she was hiding something from him. So he reportedly hired a private investigator to see if he could figure out what was really going on.
As it turned out, Kevin’s wife was having an affair with a coworker whom Kevin thought was just her friend.
In the midst of a painful and excruciating divorce, Kevin also filed a claim against his ex-wife’s lover — alleging the other man was responsible for alienating him from his wife of over a decade.
From the start, Kevin insisted the lawsuit was about much more than financial gain.
“I believe in the sanctity of marriage,” he told CNN. “Other families should see what the consequences are to not only breaking the vow to whatever religion you subscribe to, but also your legal responsibilities.”
Lo and behold, the judge recently ruled in Howard’s favor — meaning he’s now $750,000 richer! And it’s all because of the “homewrecker” law, which exists in only a few states …
