Man Suffering From Terrible Headaches Visits 30 Doctors Before He’s Diagnosed With Lyme Disease

Timothy Bolton has suffered from debilitating headaches, aches, and anxiety for years. He’s been on several different medications to manage the symptoms for just as long. He told KTNV that he went to about 30 different doctors before one finally told him what he was suffering from: Lyme disease.

“This disease is horrible. It takes your family. It takes your friends. It takes your life as you know it,” Timothy told KTNV. “It does so many different things, and that’s why it’s so hard to diagnose, because it mimics so many different things.”

He has suffered so much, and for so long, that now Timothy is looking for a better treatment. He’s raising money for that new treatment through a GoFundMe page.

“I need my mind, and I need my body back,” he said.

According to the CDC, the symptoms of Lyme disease include fever, headache, fatigue, and a characteristic skin rash that forms circles around the site of the tick bite.

Lyme disease is most common in the Northeastern part of the United States, but can occur anywhere ticks are active across the country. Nevada does not have a high rate of the illness, but folks can still be infected just like Timothy was.
