Briana DiGiorgio filmed a video while waiting for a red light to change that went viral on Facebook with over 800,000 views. The video depicted an interaction between two men, one of whom was homeless.

Briana sat in the passenger seat of her best friend’s car after a day of shopping when she noticed the car in front of her pulling off to the side.

A man wearing a navy coat got out of the car and walked straight toward a homeless man. According to Briana, the homeless man wore rags with a sweatshirt tied around his neck like a scarf. He also carried a cardboard sign.

It was barely 31 degrees that day.

Briana watched as the man started talking to the homeless stranger. Then, to her shock, the man pulled off his coat and helped the homeless stranger into it!

“I thought, ‘I have to get it on video, I have to,'” she said to Alabama.com. “It’s something I don’t see every day. I posted it so others could witness what I saw.”

After he had been helped into the coat, the homeless stranger hugged the man, who then said: “Zip it up and stay warm. I’m going to go get you some food.”

According to Alabama.com, the kind stranger was identified as Dr. Rees Oliver, a neonatologist from Birmingham.
