Massive Shark Jumps Onto Boat, Terrorizing Fishermen — Then They Realize They Have To Help Him

The deep blue seas hide many secrets, and we only know a small percentage of what happens in the depths of the world’s oceans.

But when we’re on the ocean, swimming or boating, we don’t think about those secrets and the creatures of the deep — unless we face them in person.

Fishermen off the coast of Long Island, New York, came face-to-face with one of those creatures in early July. They were stunned and frightened when a huge mako shark made a giant leap out of the water and landed on their boat.

It’s not unheard of for mako sharks to jump and breach the surface, but it’s rare to get such a good look at one of these terrifying animals when they’re out of the water.

In the clip below, you can see just how powerful these marine animals are. The shark is stuck under a railing as he thrashes, trying to free himself.

It’s obviously dangerous to get close to such a fearsome creature, but the fishermen come up with a plan to get the shark back where he belongs. It takes them a few minutes, but the animal ultimately survives the mishap.

Now watch the clip to see action that looks like it came straight from a movie set!
