Peter Shue was released in 2015 after spending 21 years in federal prison for dealing drugs, and he’s wasting no time in trying to get his life back: by selling a pair of Madonna’s underwear.

Peter claims to have dated the “Material Girl” for about seven months back in the 1990s, around the time her song “Take a Bow” became a huge hit.

He says that Madonna sent him the underwear in 1994, as a gift — along with a Polaroid photo of her new dog, on which she wrote the words, “my new baby.” There was reportedly also a handwritten note that reads, “Hi baby. I’m sending you a package for love and luck … [including] the underwear you requested.”

Peter is defending putting the panties up for auction by saying that he can’t wear them or give away the piece of property to another woman, so he might as well make some money.

“It’s a business opportunity that I have to take advantage of,” he told Inside Edition.

In fact, the starting bid is expected to be a whopping $100,000, according to the ex. A furious Madonna attempted to stop the auction but later withdrew her objections.

The bidding starts January 3, 2018.

Do you think that this pair of underwear actually belonged to Madonna?
