Parents’s Baby Is Born With ‘The Worst Disease’, Then They Put Socks On Her Hands

by Nicole Cannizzaro
Nicole is a writer who studied journalism. She loves music and spending time with her family.

I can’t imagine seeing a little baby, or anyone for that matter, with a disease like this one.

Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (DEB) is a condition which gives sores, blisters and shearing of the skin, whenever you’re touched or moving.

There is absolutely no cure, and the only treatment is to bandage the wounds. But when you’re bandaging your entire body, those bandages can easily slip around.

So, the patients commonly wear socks and things of that sort in order to prevent the bandages from moving.’

Mackenzie Camdus is one of those patients. She’s just 6-months-old and she has already suffered severe wounds and is commonly seen covered with pretty socks.

Although her family is coping and making sure that she is as healthy as can be, this is what they call ‘the worst disease you’ve never heard of.’

In efforts to help spread awareness about baby Mackenzie’s horrible disease, her entire community has come together. All with socks on hand, literally.

But if you pay attention to the lyrics of this beautiful music video for Mackenzie, you won’t be able to control your emotions.

This baby girl needs nothing but happiness and love in her life. If we share this video, we can help her and her family feel that love and support! Hopefully one day, this horrible disease will have a cure.

Please SHARE this amazing video of a community coming together for a great cause, with all of your loved ones!
