Lorenza Marrujo is 67 years young. And wile she’s a tiny woman who stands at less than 5 feet tall, her small stature is in no way representative of her fierce capabilities.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned while covering human interest stories, it’s that you should never judge a book by its cover.

An intruder recently broke into Lorenza’s apartment, a complex for senior citizens in Fontana, California.

Lorenza confronted him immediately, and as he came toward her, she confidently told him to back off … which he did.

The man fled her home at once, and Lorenza thought she had fended him off for good.

It wasn’t long after their initial confrontation that Lorenza heard screaming from a nearby apartment.

That same man had left Lorenza’s place, only to break into the home of her friend and neighbor, 81-year-old Elizabeth McCray.

This time, the intruder was intent on doing damage. He physically grabbed Elizabeth, shaking her and causing her to fall to the floor.

But Lorenza refused to watch her friend be a victim of the attack.

Elizabeth saw Lorenza coming to help her and warned her to be careful. “He’s gonna kill us,” she cried.

“Not tonight,” she declared.

You see, what this brazen intruder didn’t know was that Lorenza has 26 years of experience as a trained fighter. In fact, she is a black belt in martial arts.

Watch the video below to see how Lorenza, armed with her cane, was able to fight off the attacker and protect her good friend.
